Learning Pathway

All our lessons are thoughtfully designed, placing a special emphasis on the 5 "F’s”—Fun, Focus, Fingers, Family, Forest, and Faith. The lesson plans are conveniently accessible through Trail Life Connect.

  1. Fun: Engaging activities are seamlessly integrated, making learning an enjoyable experience. Whether through games or interactive exercises, we ensure that fun remains a central element in every session.

  2. Focus: The core content is presented with utmost clarity and emphasis during the Focus segment. This is the pivotal point where the essence of the lesson is effectively communicated.

  3. Fingers: Our approach encourages tactile learning experiences. From creative crafts to hands-on building activities, the possibilities for exploration and skill development are boundless in the Fingers segment.

  4. Family: Emphasizing the importance of continuity, the Family segment encourages discussions on how the valuable lessons learned can be shared and implemented within each Trailman's family unit.

  5. Faith: Every lesson concludes with a moment of spiritual reflection. A scripture reading, intricately connected to the lesson, provides a meaningful closure, reinforcing the values and teachings imparted during the session.

Trail Life Connect ensures that our comprehensive lesson plans are easily accessible, facilitating a seamless and enriching learning experience for all Trailmen.

We strongly encourage every Registered Adult to proactively review upcoming lessons and inform the Trail Guides if you find a lesson within your expertise. If you're interested in taking charge of or contributing to any of the six segments outlined below, please don't hesitate to express your interest prior to the meeting date listed below. Feel free to reach out via email to Meghan (MLNolanRN@yahoo.com), and she will gladly assist in coordinating your involvement. Your willingness to participate and share your knowledge is highly valued, and we welcome your proactive engagement in enriching the learning experience for everyone involved.

Missed a meeting?

Family Home Activities can be used just to create great to make up for missed Patrol or Troop lessons/ meetings.
It is not the intent for the family to do all or even most of these activities, although families are welcome to do so and we believe they will derive great benefit from the time spent together.

  • Missed a Troop Meeting?
    • If you've missed a troop meeting, fear not! Two Family Home Activities are available to serve as a substitute for one missed lesson or regular troop meeting. Navigate to the provided link to access the lesson plan associated with the missed meeting.
    • Please note that this option is applicable only for replacing a single missed lesson. If you happen to miss two lessons within the same step, unfortunately, you won't be able to make up for both, resulting in the trailman not receiving the corresponding branch pin.
    • It is the responsibility of the trailman and parents to inform the patrol's trail guide about the completion of this activity and specify the corresponding step for which it was done as a makeup. Your cooperation ensures a smooth process and helps everyone stay on track with their progress.

  • Missed a Hit The Trail?
    • Starting February 1, 2024, our troop is excited to introduce the opportunity for trailmen to make up missed Hit The Trail events. Ensure that you communicate this with your trail guide. It's crucial to inform them about the family outing you undertook and how it aligned with the branch for which the Hit The Trail was originally planned, as indicated above.

Remember, the responsibility for this communication lies with both the trailman and the parent. Keeping your trail guide informed ensures a smooth process and allows you to successfully make up for the missed event.

Important Notice: To receive credit for the aforementioned steps, it is imperative that all registration fees/ annual dues be paid in full. Your cooperation in completing the necessary financial obligations ensures that the trailman gets proper credit for the steps undertaken. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
